I'd like to share something with you; an idea, a vision: of people living in balance with dogs.

I created Westside Dog Training as a resource for empowering people to create the relationship that they want with dogs.

My specialty is designing both human-centered and canine-centered educational programs.
Human-centered educational programs empower people with knowledge and leadership skills. Canine-centered training programs are dog-led, teaching each individual dog in the way that they want to learn.

Developing confident humans and well-behaved dogs is my mission.

WAYS WE CAN WORK TOGETHER
I am based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
​
In-Home Dog Training Sessions are available in the Vancouver area and surrounding areas. Not in Vancouver? Not a problem! I offer phone and video Sessions for long-distance clients. Contact me to inquire about your specific location or online options.
I travel to Toronto, Ontario on a semi-annual basis, and am pleased to offer clients In-Home Dog Training Sessions there as well. To find out about scheduling, get in touch with me.
I travel internationally to assist Corporate clients and for group sessions.

TRAINING SERVICES
When you decided to get a dog, you probably had some ideas about what you wanted to do with your dog and how they would fit into your life. You might have had visions of peaceful walks with your off-leash dog following right beside you. Or welcoming visitors to your home without having your dog barking and jumping on your guests and your furniture.

My approach to training takes your family's unique goals and specific needs into account to guide a customized training plan. I provide guidance and support to you and your family, when and where you need it, for everyday struggles as well as severe behavioural challenges, puppy training and adult dog training.
I work with your dog, and teach you how to achieve the same results, and how to maintain them, long after our in-person sessions. I focus on your dog's state of mind, in addition to obedience behaviours.
Tricks are great, but they are not everything.

The beautiful result of creating a balanced dog, is that they are naturally & authentically interested in you - their human, and you can then create lots of different behaviours - without depending on treats or gimmicks.
